Comments

Occupied West Hollywood is not a free-for-all. It’s a curated space for sharp minds, sharper tongues, and occasionally, the blunt object of truth.

What We Publish

We selectively publish comments that:

  • Add insight, perspective, or clever dissent
  • Advance the conversation—either seriously or satirically
  • Offer firsthand knowledge or strong opinions worth airing
  • Are well-written enough to not require a translation team

We may also publish contrarian takes just to roast them. Fair warning.

What We Don’t

We don’t publish:

  • Personal attacks, doxxing, or identity speculation
  • Off-topic rants, low-effort trolling, or AI spam
  • Legal threats (get in line), or appeals to censorship
  • Anything that violates our standards of humor, decency, or coherence

Moderation is Editorial

This isn’t social media. We don’t edit comments—we curate them. If your submission makes our point sharper, makes you look foolish, or otherwise serves the narrative, we’ll publish it. If not, it disappears into the void. By submitting a comment, you consent to be quoted, mocked, praised, or ignored entirely.

Want to Contribute?

Feeling like you have more to say than just a comment? Good. We’re looking for original submissions—satire, serious opinion, political cartoons, or commentary that punches up, not down.

Send your work to submissions@occupiedweho.com. We read everything. We publish selectively.

For what we accept, how we choose, and how not to waste your time (or ours), visit the Contribute page.
