West Hollywood City Council: Brick Break
A satire. On this game’s fictional agenda, Byers, Hang, and Erickson are moving the items, and you have three minutes of public comment at the back of the room with an agenda packet. Knock their motions back through the gallery until all three are gaveled off the dais.
THE RULES
Byers, Hang, and Erickson throw motions from the dais. Catch them on your agenda packet and knock them back; where a motion lands on the packet sets the angle.
UNITE HERE Local 11 fills the gallery (joined by Streets For All on the Fountain Ave item), and the seats are the bricks. A motion you send back clears the seat it hits and bounces back down at you, so you carve a path to the dais one seat at a time. Members holding signs take two hits.
Land three returns on each of Byers, Hang, and Erickson to gavel them off the council. Clear all three and the item fails.
You have three minutes. Each minute that runs down on the speaker timer casts a YES vote; three votes and the item passes. Every motion that gets past you costs ten seconds.
Meister and Mayor Heilman drop +20 second extensions; catch them on the packet. The City Attorney raises an FPPC BLOCK over Byers, Hang, or Erickson; returns bounce off it until it drops.

- Defund the LA County Sheriff
- Ban on Single-Family Homes
Each item is a year of Erickson on the council, and he wears that year’s look: bow tie and gingham, the platinum turtleneck with the WeHo TV mic, the neon pink suit, then the beard and navy blazer.
THE ROOM & THE VOICE
Drawn from the September 22, 2026 regular meeting broadcast (Granicus clip 4402) and photographs of the chamber, seated as that night’s nameplates show. Everyone on the dais is a portrait sprite built from a photograph or a council-broadcast frame, and the wall veneer, dais maple, and floor carry grain sampled from that broadcast; the room and the portraits share one reduced palette.
Erickson’s eleven voice clips are verbatim, unedited excerpts from the March 3, 2025 (clip 4190) and September 22, 2026 (clip 4402) meetings, each checked against the broadcast camera and his on-screen chyron. Nothing is spliced.
